    Antonovich Announces County Help For Graffiti Removal

    mikeantonovichNothing spoils a nature walk like graffiti painted or scraped into a rock wall or natural feature and the County of Los Angeles is attempting to do something about it.

    The Board of Supervisors will provide graffiti removal services in the zero-tolerance areas of Acton, Agua Dulce, Fair Oaks, Sand Canyon and Vasquez Rocks, under a one-year contract with Superior Property Services, Inc., announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

    CJ Espino, Holen’s teammate at West Ranch High School, shot an 89 in the first round of the tournament.

    UPDATE: Accident Victim Identified In Sunday Soledad Canyon Crash

    The person killed in a traffic accident Sunday morning has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. Lt. Fred Corral said that Eric Michael Gilhooley, a 15-year old resident of Canyon Country died at the scene of the crash.

    Soccer Players Invited To Help One Of Their Own

    The valley was rocked on the Fourth of July by the tragic death of Matilde Garnica, mother of three, and resident of Santa Clarita. Her 13-year-old son was seriously hurt in the accident. Matilde was also part of the youth sports community. Her son Josh, 12, plays with the Santa Clarita Valley Magic Soccer Club.

    While the Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District does their best advising the public on how to avoid the virus, they have a specialized unit working for them around the clock: sentinel chickens.
