    Areas Damaged By Station Fire Reopened

    Station_FireThe devastating Station Fire of August 2009 closed or destroyed areas used for camping and hiking. The Angeles National Forest reopened about a dozen areas previously closed since the Station Fire last year.

    The reopening was on Wednesday, May 26 and now offers the public access to hiking, picnicking and camping.

    Supervisor Moves To Impound Cars Of Illegal Dumpers

    mikeantonovich“Posing a danger to public health and safety, Illegal dumping continues to be a significant problem in Los Angeles County -- decreasing property values, lowering the quality of life and contributing to urban blight,” said Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich who introduced a motion yesterday that asked for a report on the legal standing of the County’s illegal dumping ordinance.
