May 1: The Dodgers Make It Two In A Row Beating The Pirates 5-1

The Dodgers bats looked great Saturday night, while the Pirates bats were still as quiet as they were in their last meeting. The Dodgers not only won the game 5-1, but they lead the Series against the Pirates two games to one.

Accident On Plum Claims One Life

khts_crime_chpA car accident on Plum Canyon claimed one life and shut down the road according to the CHP.

The accident happened near the intersection of Santa Catarina Road and Plum Canyon around 4:15 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

A CHP spokesperson says that no other people were injured in the accident, which involved two cars.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident, check back to for updates.

Appliance Rebate Program Now Available Through City of Santa Clarita

If your old appliances are getting a bit too old, you maybe eligible for a rebate program offered through The City of Santa Clarita.

The California Appliance Rebate program is officially underway. The program, which started Earth Day, April 22, 2010, offers rebates to assist California residents in swapping out old energy inefficient home appliances for new, Energy Star qualified items.
