    April 22: Dodgers Blow Early Lead And Lose To The Reds 8-5

    The Dodger came out swinging when Andre Ethier hit a two run homer in the top of the first inning. The Reds put one on score board in the bottom of the first, and the back-and-forth was on.

    The next four innings seemed to fly by. It took just over an hour to complete five innings. Then, the bats heated up again, for both teams. By the time it was over, the Reds fans were treated to more than one questionable play by the Dodgers, a handful of long balls, and some great hitting. In the end, the Reds won the game 8-5, and took the Series two games to one.

    Lane Closures Could Impact Cross Valley Traffic

    khts_trafficalertThe City of Santa Clarita will close lanes near the recently opened Cross Valley Connector due to a water main leak.

    The number two and three lanes will be closed on the northbound side of Golden Valley Road north of Valley Center Drive starting Monday and continuing through Friday of next week.

    The closure is to repair a small water leak that was found in a 16-inch pipe under the road.

    Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast To Be Held At Hyatt

    Cedars-Sinai Offering Clinical Trial For Brain Tumor Patients

    Patients suffering from recurrent brain tumors called meningiomas may be eligible to participate in a Phase II clinical trial at the hospital's Cochran Brain Tumor Center.

    Navy and Air Force Join VIA

    The Valley Industrial Association has announced that the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force small business procurement offices will be in this year's VIA B2B Industry Show.

    The show, which takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., on May 20, will be held at the Valencia Industrial Center.

    The Navy and Air Force small business divisions will exhibit in the Supplier Showcase, along with 75 other businesses and organizations.

    Golden Valley Baseball Team Wins Fourth Straight Foothill League Game

    sportsgoldenvalleyThe Golden Valley baseball team got a two-run, seventh-inning home run from Brandon Smith and beat Valencia, 7-6. It was the first win in baseball for Golden Valley over Valencia in school history.

    Golden Valley is 4-4 in Foothill League play and has won four straight league games. Valencia lost its second league game and is 6-2.

    April 21: Kings Lose To Vancouver, 6-4

    In game 4 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Los Angeles Kings lost a close game to the Vancouver Canucks, by a final score of 6-4. The series is now tied 2-2. Tune in on Friday for Game 5- you can hear it live on AM-1220, KHTS!
