A Midsummer Night’s Dream To Be Performed By COC Theatre Department

khts_inthecommunity2This May, community members will have the opportunity to kick off the summer in traditional Shakespearean style, as the College of the Canyons theatre department presents the production "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) at College of the Canyons.


Artists Gather To Bring and Brag

Campgrounds To Offer Free Night During Fundraising Weekend

The Acton/Los Angeles North KOA Kampground, located at 7601 Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, is one of more than 390 Kampgrounds of America locations in North America participating in KOA's 7th Annual Come Kamp & Care With Us Weekend Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15.


The event was created in 2004 to offer campers an easy way to affordably explore KOA campgrounds in their area, and at the same time have a fun, affordable weekend to start their summer camping season.

Valencia Choir Performs At Carnegie Hall

CarnigehallThe Valencia High Choir and two of its jazz groups recently performed at the Isaac Stern Auditorium in New York's Carnegie Hall.

The concert featured performances by the Valencia Vikings Choir, Vocal Jazz Seven AM and Vocal Jazz Two N' Four. The April 9 performance featured guest conductor Phil Mattson, who directed the choirs in several selections throughout the evening.

Pacifica Senior Living at Santa Clarita now offers its residents the services of an executive chef to cater to their culinary needs.

Ignacio Barazza joins the Pacifica community, bringing 17 years of experience in hospitality and hotel dining services, with a specialty in senior dining.

"It's a pleasure to serve seniors. I have dedicated my career to providing them exceptional food and service," he said.

With Barazza's arrival, Pacifica also introduces an All-Day Dining program.

Gone are the days where residents must eat their meals at designated times.

A Weekend Of Art With COC

The festival will be held at the college's Valencia campus on May 7-8.
