SCV Fashion Loses An Icon

margosIt's not often that a store remains open for 10 years or even 20 years for that matter.

When you consider the relatively young age of Santa Clarita, and then compare that to the 35 years Margo's has been open, it's quite a feat.

Margo Miller-Hudson has owned her clothing store, which operates off of Lyons Avenue, since 1974 and has occupied unit 115 for the entire span.

New Traffic Regulations In The Santa Clarita Valley

Saugus, Valencia, and Val Verde communities alter traffic patterns

To reduce congestion in the valley, the City of Santa Clarita has altered traffic regulations including speed limits, pedestrian crossings, and U-turns in the Saugus, Valencia, and Val Verde communities.

On Tuesday, supervisor Michael D. Antonovich announced that in order to create a safer community, the Board of Supervisors has instituted the following traffic patterns:

Saugus Boys Basketball Team Upsets Cypress In CIF Playoffs

sportslocalThe Saugus boys basketball team pulled off a stunner in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division IIAA playoffs. Saugus beat Cypress, the ninth-seeded team in the playoffs, 79-69, in overtime.

Joey Fredrick scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds for Saugus. The game was tied 64-64 at the end of regulation and Saugus outscored Cypress, 15-5, in overtime.
