Academy Of The Canyons Places High On A Short List

AOCAcademy of the Canyons (AOC) was named one of only four college prep schools in the state to be chosen by U.S. News & World Report as a top high school.

AOC received a bronze rating along with 172 other schools in the state, which places them in the top 10 percent of high schools in America.

The basis for the rating revolves around their college readiness index score.

Local Nurse Gets Big Honor

The Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL) has recognized a nurse from Providence Holy Cross Medical Center.

Tim Gilmore received the Excellence in Nursing Leadership award for the South Region for his role in leading the ACNL's Environmental Practice Committee for the last two years, and the development of a Healthy Work Environment Assessment Instrument.

The project created a tool for nursing leaders to assess and improve workplace practices in areas such as communication, mentoring and development.
