Man Dies After Crash On I-5

Car accident sends vehicle over the side of freeway.

A 23 year-old Ventura County man died Friday night after an accident on the I-5. According to Los Angeles County Coroner reports, two vehicles collided and the accident forced the victim's car over the side of the I-5 freeway near Gavin Canyon in Santa Clarita.

The vehicle ended up on The Old Road, and resulted in fatal injuries to the occupant.

The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of his family.

Downed Power Pole Closes Sierra Highway At Via Princessa


Update: 7:30 a.m., Sunday February 7.

An early morning accident caused damage to a utility pole at the intersection of Via Princessa and Sierra Highway Saturday morning. As a safety precaution, the entire intersection was closed to traffic for much of the day.
