LA Fitness Burglar Caught In The Act

During the past several weeks a number of vehicle burglaries have taken place in various parking lots near LA Fitness health clubs in the Santa Clarita Valley. The suspects targeted vehicles they perceived to be associated with LA Fitness patrons.

West Ranch Boys Basketball Team Hands Canyon First League Loss

sportswestranchThe West Ranch boys basketball team shocked first-place Canyon with a 57-52 win Tuesday night.

Sophomore Dave Harris scored 13 points and hit four 3-pointers for West Ranch, which handed Canyon its first league loss of the season.

Wesley Bartole scored 17 points and had six rebounds for Canyon.

 

Suspect In Vincenzo's Robbery In Custody

The man caught on videotape during a robbery of Vincenzo's Pizza in Saugus is in custody, arrested by the LAPD after some detective work by local deputies.

Lt. Steve Low of the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's station said that James William Brammer, 57, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of 11 armed robbery incidents in the Topanga area and one in Frazier Park, as well as the Vincenzo's January 8 holdup.

 

Guardian Angels In Haiti

haitiearthquakeAs relief continues to flow into the devastated island of Haiti, good news has begun to flow out.

More than 25 children, whose orphanage was run by Three Angels Children's Relief and was destroyed by the quake, have been moved to adoptive parents on U.S soil.

"These orphans are children who have the paperwork and everything done, and were waiting for the government to give them the OK," said Brendie Heter, spokesperson the orphanage.

Crash On Sierra Highway

Two men were transported to the hospital in critical condition from this single-car crash on Sierra Highway just south of Newhall Avenue.

Children To Get Dental Care From Smile Coalition Dentists

khts_givingbackA free dental clinic for local low income children will be held on Saturday in Valencia, with additional clinics on Saturday, February 5 and Thursday, April 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Sponsored by the Foundation for Children's Dental Health, charter member-dentists of the "Smile Coalition" have come together to serve needy children in the community.
