    Kellar's Endorsement Of Whitman Ends Over Immigration Comments

    California gubernatorial candidate distances herself from Santa Clarita Councilman.

     

    In a story that just won't end for Councilman Bob Kellar, California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman has separated herself from his endorsement, which Kellar voluntarily relinquished. This comes after Councilman Kellar has been dragged through the media over comments he made at an anti illegal immigration rally in Santa Clarita on January 16th.

     

    City's Go Green Art Contest Calls On Student's Talent

    khts_citymatters_scvlogoStudents in local middle and high schools have the chance to show off their creative talents by participating in the Santa Clarita Transit Go Green Art Contest.

    Open until March 1, the contest encourages local students to illustrate through traditional art, graphic design or photography how Santa Clarita Transit helps their family and the community.

    January 31st: Kings Beat Devils 3-2

    Sunday, the Kings were in New Jersey to face the Devils. The Kings were down in the 3rd Period 2 to 1. Simmonds scored a goal to tie it up then, with 23 seconds left in regulation play, Drew Doughty knocked one in to bring the Kings to victory. The final score was 3 to 2.

     

    The Kings are heading back to the Staples Center to face the New York Rangers on Tuesday. You can catch that game LIVE on AM-1220 KHTS beginning at 7 PM!

    Belliard Signs With Dodgers

    The Dodger lineup is changing for the 2010 season. The Dodgers have officially signed infielder Ronnie Belliard to a one-year contract. General Manager Ned Colletti made the announcement.

     

    SCAA Brings The World Of Art To Children

    The Tesoro Adobe will be holding a free public reception from 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, featuring face painting and coloring books for children.

    Adults can view artwork, enjoy appetizers, tour the museum, which houses collectibles from the 1930's, and take in the beautiful scenery of cacti, succulents and desert flowers surrounding the Tesoro Adobe Historic Park.
