SCV Pregnancy Center Walk Breaks Fundraising Records

The Walk For Life, a fundraiser for the SCV Pregnancy Center, raised record donations this year in spite of economic woes. Over 500 participants raised nearly $66,000 by completing a simple two mile course. This was a 65% increase over the 2008 Walk which was the highest in the Center's history.

Missing Hikers Found Near Pasadena


A man and his son who were lost in the hills above Eaton Canyon were rescued Christmas Eve morning after the young man surfaced and led Sheriff's Search and Rescue volunteers to his father.

Darlene Baxter called the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's station just before 10 p.m. Wednesday night and reported her ex-husband and adult son were due back from a hike a few hours earlier and she was concerned about their safety.

Woman Arrested After Accident In Target Parking Lot

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials, Susan Christiansen was near Target in Valencia around 4:25 p.m. when she collided with four other vehicles, causing one person to receive minor injuries.

Hart ASB Students Host Christmas Dinner

HartDinnerOneMore than 400 people (462 to be exact) received a holiday dinner sponsored by Hart High School's Associated Student Body for homeless students from the school and needy families from the nearby area. The dinner of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, vegetables, rolls and of course dessert, was donated and prepared by students, parents and community volunteers.
