    Valencia Boys Basketball Team Wins Chaminade Tournament

    sportslocalThe Valencia boys basketball team won the championship game of the Chaminade tournament in a rout, 74-48, over Granada Hills.

    Valencia's Lonnie Jackson scored 25 points against Granada Hills, was the leading scorer in the tournament and earned most valuable player honors. He also had six rebounds and seven assists in the championship game.

     

    Valencia teammate Jake Keller scored 12 points against Granada Hills.

    The Year In Review - 2009

    Deer Goes Missing At Santa Clarita's Hart Park

    Los Angeles County officials hoping deer will be found.

    Sometime Wednesday night or Thursday morning, a female deer vanished from William S. Hart Park in Newhall.

    The 12 year-old California mule deer, named Jane Doe, was not in her pen when Los Angeles County workers checked this morning, and the fencing around her dwelling had been cut open.

    Jane had been a resident at the park since 1997, after she was found as a youngling wandering the streets of Sylmar.

    December 31st: Kings Win 5-2

    Thursday, the Kings were in Minnesota for a faceoff against the Wild for their last game of 2009. The Kings finished 2009 by defeating the Wild 5 to 2.

    Saturday, the Kings will play their first game of 2010 against the Washington Capitals. Catch the game LIVE on AM-1220 KHTS beginning at 12:30 PM!

    Drew Doughty Latest To Be Named To Olympic Team

    Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty has been selected for the roster for his native Canada for the men's ice hockey tournament at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. This came just one day after fellow Kings player Michal Handzus was named to the Slovakian Olympic team.
