RJ Johnson Wins NASCAR Super Trucks Championship At Irwindale

sportslocalR.J. Johnson won the NASCAR Super Trucks season finale race and the Super Trucks championship by the narrowest of margins at Toyota Speedway at Iriwndale on Saturday night.

Johnson, a driver from Canyon Country, and Pat Mintey Jr. of Quartz Hill entered the 100-lap season finale in the Super Trucks division tied for first in the Super Trucks standings at the track.

Every year at about this time, a movie comes out that generates a lot of buzz and has internet geeks selling their souls to get the masses into theatres. If said movie actually ends up becoming a big hit, the geeks immediately turn on the movie, call it overrated, and claim to have never liked it, all because they don't want to agree with the masses. We've seen it with the likes of "Juno", "Little Miss Sunshine", and others.

The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour is being presented by the California Community Colleges Economic Workforce Development Program and hosted by the College of the Canyons Small Business Development Center and the SBDC Young Entrepreneurs Program.


Saugus Football Team Rallies In Fourth Quarter To Beat West Ranch, 26-22

sportslocalVALENCIA - The Saugus football team drove 97 yards to score the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter against West Ranch at College of the Canyons on Friday night.

Quarterback Zack Gauthier threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to receiver Jon Aguirre as Saugus rallied to beat West Ranch, 26-22.
