World Renowned Cyclist Challenge Starts In Santa Clarita

AdventureCORPS, Inc hosts 26th Anniversary of the Furnace Creek 508 Bicycle Race

On Saturday, approximately 220 bicyclists from across the USA, Canada, Asia, and Europe, will compete in The Furnace Creek 508 Race.

As one of the world's toughest open bicycle races, competitors will cycle along a 509.58 mile-long route which runs from Santa Clarita to the Mojave Desert to Death Valley and finally to Twenty Nine Palms.

Weekend Fashion Show Flaunts Local Style

Westfield Valencia Town Center hosts fashion show.

On October 3rd at 2pm and 3pm, Westfield Valencia Town Center will be hosting a fall fashion show, showcasing the new arrivals for the Fall season. Stores like Banana Republic, Buckle, Forever 21, Gap, Gymboree, New York & Co., Lane Bryant, and White House | Black Market will be taking the stage.

Models from the local Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts will be walking the runway, strutting the latest fashions while SOS Entertainment mixes the music.

Saugus Boys And Girls Cross Country Teams Sweep First Foothill League Meet

sportslocalThe Saugus boys and girls cross country teams won the first Foothill League meet at Central Park on Wednesday, but Golden Valley and West Ranch had reason to celebrate too.

Golden Valley's Seth Totten won the boys race. West Ranch's Jennifer Owen won the girls race. She was followed by teammate Bailey Miller in second.

The first league cross country meet was finally completed after being suspended a week because of poor air quality.
