The prime suspect in a rash of Saugus and Valencia area break-ins was arrested Tuesday after she broke into a Bridgeport home and was surprised by the owner.

Patricia Arevalo, 22, of Saugus, knocked on the front door of a home on Back Bay Court, then went around the back of the house and broke in. When the owner of the home came downstairs, Arevalo fled empty-handed.

Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley holds second annual wine fundraiser

On Sunday, September 27, Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley (SIGSCV) will hold their Second Annual Wine Affair themed, “Sip, Stroll, and Savor the Sounds.”

Beginning at 1 p.m., guests can taste wine, sample food, and enjoy music as they meander along Town Center Drive in Valencia.

"Last year’s inaugural Wine Affair was such an amazing success," said Rose Chegwin, co-chair of the event. “We knew we had to bring it back.”

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Washington Nationals Tuesday night, by a final score of 14-2! Game two of the series is Wednesday at 3:30pm, on AM-1220 KHTS!
