    Santa Clarita Valley’s 4th annual Leaders of Character recognition dinner took place on Saturday evening at the Valencia Hyatt.

    This year’s recipients included, Bill & Cathy Kennedy, Rick & Ann Patterson and Joe & Barbara Schulman. The tribute was created as a fundraiser for the Boy Scouts of America.

    Fourth Quarter Interception Secures COC Football Team's Win Over Fullerton

    news_sportsThe College of the Canyons football team got a lot of help on the defensive side of the ball in a 26-13 win over Fullerton College on Saturday.

    Arron Fisher returned an interception for a touchdown as time expired in the fourth quarter of COC's win against the fifth-ranked team in the state. D.J. Stephens caught two touchdown passes and James Rodriguez kicked two field goals for COC.

    Fights At Lingerie Party Keep Santa Clarita Deputies Busy

    A risqué party at the Plaza Banquet facilities on Lyons Avenue got a little rough for deputies early Saturday morning.

    Just before 1:00 a.m. a call came in to the Santa Clarita Sheriff's station stating that there was a person with a gun at the Plaza. Local deputies responded to the scene, located the reported vehicle in the parking lot and removed the occupants.
