SCV's Most Talented Search Is On

D.E.E.Studio Productions Performing Arts Academy is hosting a talent search for Santa Clarita's 'Most Talented Performer'


Producer/Director Nancy Dee Horak, entertainer, actor and director of the D.E.E. Studio's Academy comments,  "This 2009 competition will be more competitive and amazing than the previous two - combined!"  The contest is open to vocalists, musicians and actors this year.


August 1st: Dodgers Lose 4-3

Saturday, the Dodgers lost to the Atlanta Braves in game two. 4 to 2 was the final.

Sunday, the Dodgers will wrap things up in Atlanta. Catch game 3 against the Braves on AM-1220 KHTS beginning at 4:30 PM!



Santa Clarita Boxers Bring Home Three Championships

news_sportsSix members of the City of Santa Clarita's Newhall Community Center Boxing team recently competed in the 8th annual Desert Showdown Boxing Tournament. The local competitors showcased their skills at the sanctioned USA Boxing event and brought home three championship belts to Santa Clarita.

Vendors Sought For Annual Pow Wow

The Friends of William S. Hart Park and Museum and the County of Los Angeles, Department of Parks and Recreation are presenting the 16th Annual American Indian Pow Wow and Native American Craft Fair on Saturday, Sept. 26 and Sunday, Sept. 27.

This is a call for arts and crafts, food and beverage vendors, for performers and amusements, in the spirit of this Native American Festival. The space fees are vendor-friendly to encourage hand-made, home crafts and fine art sellers. All Drums and Dancers welcome.

Parents often tell their argumentative children that they should become lawyers; however, one author is saying that negotiating is a skill that everyone can use.

On Thursday, August 6, local attorney and mediator, Steven Mehta will release his new book, 112 Ways to Succeed in Any Negotiation or Mediation. Covering tips on how to better negotiate, the book reviews the lessons he has learned through his experience as a litigator, trial lawyer, legal educator, speaker, published author, and mediator.
