The Dodgers lost their third game in a row for the first time this season- and it was a blowout. The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Dodgers 10-0, after a one hour and twenty-five minute rain delay. Community Night Out Set For Old Orchard Park

khts_crime_genericThe Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station will host a 'National Night Out' Against Crime event at Old Orchard Park, located at 25023 Avenida Rotella, Valencia on Tuesday, August 4th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

Sponsored for the last 25 years by the National Association of Town Watch, 'National Night Out' is a nationwide event in which over 11,000 communities participate to promote community safety.

Junior Olympics Storm The Aquatics Center

West Ranch Advances To Semifinals Of Valley Invitational Baseball League Playoffs

J.C. Cloney had two hits and drove in three runs for West Ranch. Jared Ortiz scored three runs and drove in two. Allen Sarkissian struck out seven in 6 1/3 innings for the win. He also had two hits.

Snack Bar At Hart High Burns

The Los Angeles County fire department is reporting that the snack bar on the baseball field at Hart High School was torched this afternoon.

Engines from two stations responded and achieved knockdown of the blaze at 4:47 p.m.

It is not known what caused the fire.

Woman's Body Found In Castaic Parking Lot - UPDATED

A woman was found dead in her vehicle in a Castaic parking lot late Monday morning.

Lt. Tom Bryskie said the woman, who was in her 40s, was seen at approximately 6:45 a.m.in a silver late-model Mercedes parked near Kinder Care, but people in the center thought she was just sleeping, as her seat was reclined and the windows were rolled up.
