    Dodgers blown out by Cardinals, 10-0.

     

    The Dodgers lost their third game in a row for the first time this season- and it was a blowout. The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Dodgers 10-0, after a one hour and twenty-five minute rain delay.     Sponsored for the last 25 years by the National Association of Town Watch, 'National Night Out' is a nationwide event in which over 11,000 communities participate to promote community safety.

    sportswestranchThe final four is set in the Valley Invitational Baseball League playoffs. Top-seeded West Ranch won its quarterfinal game, 7-1, over El Camino Real.

    J.C. Cloney had two hits and drove in three runs for West Ranch. Jared Ortiz scored three runs and drove in two. Allen Sarkissian struck out seven in 6 1/3 innings for the win. He also had two hits.

    Snack Bar At Hart High Burns

    The Los Angeles County fire department is reporting that the snack bar on the baseball field at Hart High School was torched this afternoon.

    Engines from two stations responded and achieved knockdown of the blaze at 4:47 p.m.

    It is not known what caused the fire.

    Woman's Body Found In Castaic Parking Lot - UPDATED

    A woman was found dead in her vehicle in a Castaic parking lot late Monday morning.

    Lt. Tom Bryskie said the woman, who was in her 40s, was seen at approximately 6:45 a.m.in a silver late-model Mercedes parked near Kinder Care, but people in the center thought she was just sleeping, as her seat was reclined and the windows were rolled up.

    Legislators approved a compromise of 31 bills clattered together in the middle of the night to address California's $26.5 billion budget shortfall. Both Republicans and Democrats feel they got something they wanted. Cities aren't losing their gas tax and drilling will hold off on the Santa Barbara coast.

     

    But the lawmakers had to cut, and their victims go across the board.
