Hampton Inn Robbed Wednesday Morning

Man brandishes gun, demands money, computer.

Deputies are looking for a young male Hispanic suspected of
holding up the Hampton Inn in Stevenson Ranch this morning.


High School Football Starts Tonight

KHTS AM-1220 will broadcast the first game of the season.

ImageAt 6:30 p.m. tonight, high school football kicks off in Santa
Clarita. The first game in the highly competitive area will be played by Golden
Valley and Littlerock
High Schools.


In contrast to earlier years, no clear favorite has emerged
from any of the schools.

Sylmar Man Drowns In Castaic Lake

Wakeboarder  poor swimmer, not wearing life jacket.

A 29 year old man with average swimming skills drowned
Saturday while wakeboarding in Castaic

Captain Ed Winter of the L.A. County Coroner Office said
that Omar Pinto, a resident of Sylmar, drowned while wakeboarding. He was not
wearing a life jacket.

“According to the reported information, he didn’t know how
to swim well,” Winter said.
