Lawyer allegedly rear-ended woman's car on Valencia Boulevard.

Celebrity attorney Steve Sitkoff was placed under citizen’s arrest Wednesday morning by a woman who claims the lawyer rear-ended her car on Valencia Boulevard.

Lt. Mark Hershey told KHTS that Sitkoff left the scene of the accident and drove to the parking lot of the Valencia Municipal Court at Magic Mountain Parkway. The victim followed him through the parking lot, but he attempted to elude capture, parking his car and entering the courthouse.

Deputies arrested four individuals on drug related charges Tuesday after conducting an early morning traffic stop near 2nd Street and Arch Street in Newhall. 

Runner's bill to fight Section 8 housing fraud to go into effect January 1, 2009.

A bill that will combat Section 8 housing fraud was signed into law by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and will go into effect January 1. Assembly Bill 2827, authored by Assemblywoman Sharon Runner will establish a database of housing fraud incidents that will be available to county law enforcement officials.

Students can boost their learning skills with five-week course.

A new program has been created by College of the Canyons to improve the speed at which students, whose assessment test results reveal below college-level skills, can complete courses to improve those skills and more rapidly and put them on the path to succeeding in college and transfer-level courses.
