    Celebrity Attorney Arrested At Valencia Courthouse

    Lawyer allegedly rear-ended woman's car on Valencia Boulevard.

     

    Celebrity attorney Steve Sitkoff was placed under citizen’s arrest Wednesday morning by a woman who claims the lawyer rear-ended her car on Valencia Boulevard.

     

    Lt. Mark Hershey told KHTS that Sitkoff left the scene of the accident and drove to the parking lot of the Valencia Municipal Court at Magic Mountain Parkway. The victim followed him through the parking lot, but he attempted to elude capture, parking his car and entering the courthouse.

    TRAFFIC ALERT:14 Closed For Bridge Maintenance Friday, Saturday

    The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes of the northbound and southbound Antelope Valley Freeway (State Route 14) as follows, in order to perform bridge maintenance work:

     

    • From 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17 to 5 a.m. Friday, July 18 – Up to two lanes of southbound SR-14 from Avenue N to Palmdale Boulevard

    A Canyon Country man suspected of stealing a large amount of copper wire kept deputies busy today before he was arrested and booked at the Palmdale Sheriff's station.

    Housing Fraud Bill Approved By Governor

    Runner's bill to fight Section 8 housing fraud to go into effect January 1, 2009.

     

     

    A bill that will combat Section 8 housing fraud was signed into law by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and will go into effect January 1. Assembly Bill 2827, authored by Assemblywoman Sharon Runner will establish a database of housing fraud incidents that will be available to county law enforcement officials.

    Alleged Forger Arrested For Theft From Seniors

    Parole violator victimized neighbors at assisted living complex where his mother was a resident.

     

     

    A parolee from Valencia was charged Tuesday with five felony counts of identity theft, one felony count of commercial burglary and one felony count of receiving stolen property on behalf of victims at the Fountain Glen at Valencia Senior Apartments.
