    General's father moved to California to be near daughter.

     

    Sixtus Petraeus, the father of General David H. Petraeus, Commander of the Multi-National Force in Iraq , died Thursday at an assisted living facility in Santa Clarita.

    Canyon High School Receives District Diversity Award

    Canyon High School has received the William S. Hart Union High School District’s Valuing Diversity Award for the 2007-08 school year. The annual award is given to the school with the most active program aimed at appreciating the school’s diverse student body, according to Greg Lee, diversity coordinator for the district.

    Dodgers lose two in a row to the Indians!

    Saturday, the Dodgers lost to Cleveland in extra innings. The game remained tied 1 to 1 until the 11th - when Cleveland scored 6-runs. During the bottom of the 11th, the Dodgers scored an additional run. The final was 7 to 2.
