Torch Run Set For Thursday

Law enforcement takes to the streets for a good cause.


Crime-fighters will band together Thursday afternoon to do a little running in the streets, as the Special Olympics Santa Clarita Valley Annual Torch Run makes its way to the Southern California State Games in Long Beach. Running alongside officers from the LA County Sheriffs, CHP and FBI will be athletes from the program.

Water Works Rebates Available To Customers

To promote water conversation throughout the Antelope Valley, Acton, Val Verde, and Kagel Canyon, the Board of Supervisors approved a rebate program that encourages all customers in the County Waterworks Districts to install water-saving devices, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
