    Dodgers Lose, Split Series With Reds

    The Dodgers lost the second game of a 2 game series agains the Reds, 8-1. They head back home now and will face off against Arizona live from Dodger Stadium Wednesday night at 6:30pm- on AM-1220, KHTS!

    Valencia High School Hosts "EcoFest"

    Students organize festival to educate the public on environmental issues.

    In an effort to educate people about sustainable living options and conservation, Valencia High School's EPA Club, Valencia High School Key Club and Girl Scout Troop 745 will host EcoFest 2008.  

     

     

    No one will deny that we have to be good stewards of our earth’s resources.  So, also at the EcoFest students will discuss current environmental issues that either affect your life today or will impact the future for your children.    

    Fibro Fair Comes To Local Senior Center

    The Santa Clarita Senior Center holds fair in an effort to raise fibromyalgia awareness.

    May 12th has been officially designated International Awareness Day for Chronic Immunological and Neurological Diseases (CIND) by Tom Hennessy, the founder of RESCIND, Inc. (Repeal Existing Stereotypes about Chronic Immunological and Neurological Diseases). 

     

     

    The reason Hennessy chose the 12th is because he wished to memorialize the birth date of Florence Nightingale, the English army nurse who inspired the founding of the International Red Cross.

     

    Dodgers Win Big

    On Monday night, the Dodgers defeated the Reds 9-3.

    The next game can be heard live, April 22nd at 3:30pm, only on KHTS. The Dodgers will be facing the Reds once again.

The purpose of this important day is to increase environmental awareness and promote a healthy, sustainable planet. This day is especially unique because it is one of the only events celebrated simultaneously throughout the world by people of all faiths, and nationalities.
