Antonovich Works To Restrict Sex Offender Relocation In County

County Counsel will be directed to investigate Jessica's Law loopholes, restrictions.

 

Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich is hoping to yank the welcome mat out from under recently paroled sex offenders in Los Angeles County.

At Tuesday’s meeting, he plans to propose a measure directing County Counsel to investigate the specifics of Jessica’s Law, which restricts where released sex offenders can live as well as provide an overview of group homes and existing county codes regarding sex offenders.

Local CHP Catches Kern County Attempt Murder Suspect

Vehicle spotted, suspect arrested without incident.

 

Newhall units of the California Highway Patrol took a man wanted for attempted murder off the freeway Monday night.

 

According to Officer John Lutz, a call went out at 2:25 a.m. that Kern County officials were looking for a black Yukon being driven by a person suspected of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery and attempted murder related to an incident that took place in Kern about 1:35 a.m.

CHP Recommends Manslaughter Charges Against Bus Driver In Fatal Crash

Recommendation still in hands of district attorney.

 

A report completed by the California Highway Patrol recommends filing vehicular manslaughter charges against David Delape, the driver of the Santa Clarita Transit bus involved in a fatal crash January 18 on The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch.

 

Delape, 49, was behind the wheel of the bus that struck 25-year old Janine M. Doughlin’s Toyota Camry as she entered the intersection at Consitution Avenue. Doughlin died at the scene.
