U.S. Representative Howard P. “Buck” McKeon has issued the following statement on congressional Democrats’ FY 2009 budget, currently under consideration by the House Budget Committee. 

Keratoconus causes the cornea to become thin, weaken, and bulge. The word itself translates to “cone-shaped cornea.”

Victim shot as he left store in Canyon Country. 

One man was shot during an altercation at a local convenience store shortly early Wednesday morning. The victim, a 28-year male Hispanic, was shot in the torso by a suspect described as at 38-year old Hispanic man, 5’6,” 190,  who left the scene in an unknown vehicle.

Hallman steps away from coaching

The face of Saugus High boy’s basketball for the last 14 years has stepped down.  Jeff Hallman stepped aside as Head Coach of the Saugus High School basketball team on Tuesday afternoon.  Hallman cited the want to pursue other opportunities in life as his main reason.

“After 21 years of coaching at Saugus, I felt it was time to step down and pursue other opportunities,” Hallman said.  “It’s time to spend some quality time with my wife and daughter.”
