    Second Suspect Arrested In Fifty-Six Store Robbery

    Sheriff’s nab suspect in Canyon Country.

    ImageThe second suspect has been arrested in connection with the robbery of the Stevenson Ranch Fifty-Six Store which occurred on Monday, January 21st, 2008, at 5:50 p.m.

    In that, two suspects entered the Fifty-Six store and forced the clerk in the back room, before stealing clothing, electronics, and cash.

    Lennar To Unveil First Solar Neighborhood

    New homes will come equipped with solar power capabilities.

    On Friday, Newhall Land/Lennar will unveil their newest neighborhood, which offers some new features. Phase one and two Patina Series homes in West Creek will now come standard with solar power, as well as a host of other energy efficiency measures.

     

    Information about the new homes will be made available to the media on Friday, and KHTS will report back with that information afterwards.

    Motorcycle Accident Blocks Soledad

    Man suffers minor injuries.

     

    Just after 12:00 this afternoon, a man riding a motorcycle lost control and was separated from his motorcycle on Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.

     

    The man ended up roughly 75 feet from his motorcycle, which kept traveling until it toppled on its side and bounced back upright.

    The Hart Indians boy’s soccer team created a three-way tie atop league standings, defeating Saugus 3-2.  The Indians and Centurions are now tied with Canyon at the top with just three games left.

     

    College of the Canyon’s women’s basketball got a big win over Glendale last night, 72-50.  The men’s team was not so fortunate, loosing 76-60.
