If residents and property owners agree, Bouquet Canyon Road will extend, by renaming San Fernando Road

San Fernando Road, from Magic Mountain Parkway to 11th Street, may now become Bouquet Canyon Road.

 The City of Santa Clarita would like the public to attend a community meeting on Monday, November 5, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Century Room, located on the first floor of City Hall. 

The Kings defeated the Wild in a shootout 4-3, on Tuesday night.

Three huge incidents close local freeways

The California Highway Patrol responded to a multi-vehicle collision on the 14 freeway near Avenue B in Lancaster. The collision was severe, and around 2:00pm Tuesday afternoon the CHP closed down the 14 freeway.  

The scene of the accident is very large. Two people have so far been confirmed dead, and two people have been deemed critical.

Twelve vehicles were involved.

We can all breathe a sigh of relief. The Newhall Pass Tragedy lets us realize just how vulnerable our valley is to becoming sealed off. We learned that during the ’94 earthquake, and we just lived through a miniature version of the same nightmare.
