    San Fernando Road Might Get A Name Change

    If residents and property owners agree, Bouquet Canyon Road will extend, by renaming San Fernando Road

     

    San Fernando Road, from Magic Mountain Parkway to 11th Street, may now become Bouquet Canyon Road.

     The City of Santa Clarita would like the public to attend a community meeting on Monday, November 5, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Century Room, located on the first floor of City Hall.

    A quick check of the scoreboard, in girls’ volleyball Valencia beat Hart 3 games to 1 to go 5 – 0 in Foothill League play.  Canyon beat Saugus 3 to 2 and remains 1 game behind Valencia.  West Ranch beat Golden Valley 3 to 1.  In girls’ tennis, Saugus edged Canyon by winning the total games tiebreaker. Valencia remained undefeated with a 17 to 1 rout over Hart and West Ranch beat Golden Valley 15 to 3.

     

    Kings Get Win

    The Kings defeated the Wild in a shootout 4-3, on Tuesday night.
    The Kings will play the Flames on Thursday, October 18th, starting at 5:30pm. You can hear the game live, only on your Hometown Station, KHTS.

    ImageNow that the I-5 has been reopened after the horrific accident Friday night, some questions still remain as to the whereabouts of some unaccounted people.

     

    3 Traffic Nightmares

    Three huge incidents close local freeways

     

    The California Highway Patrol responded to a multi-vehicle collision on the 14 freeway near Avenue B in Lancaster. The collision was severe, and around 2:00pm Tuesday afternoon the CHP closed down the 14 freeway.  

     

    The scene of the accident is very large. Two people have so far been confirmed dead, and two people have been deemed critical.

     

    Twelve vehicles were involved.   

     

    Three Local Races Debate The Issues

    In a special three segment debate co-hosted by KHTS AM-1220 and The Signal newspaper, candidates from three local races debated the issues and shared their ideas.

     

    The races for the Newhall School District Board of Trustees, the Newhall County Water District Board and William S. Hart School District Board took to the spotlight.
