    POW/MIA Flag Flies At City Hall

    In support of National Prisoners POW/MIA Recognition Day, the City of Santa Clarita displayed the POW/MIA flag

    City officials paid tribute to the service men and women who have been prisoners of war and those who are missing in action, by flying the POW/MIA flag in front of City Hall.

     Although the POW/MIA flag is flown daily in front of the City’s Veteran’s Memorial Plaza, it was a special occasion at City Hall .

    Valencia Ralphs Closed After Fire

    Fire seems to be caused by malfunctioning refrigeration unit

    Early this afternoon, firefighters responded to a smoke call at the Ralphs on Orchard Village Road and Lyons Avenue. A small fire had broken out, and was apparently caused by a malfunctioning compressor in a refrigeration unit.

     

    The estimated cost of the damage is listed at $30,000 just for the refrigeration system alone. An additional $30,000 in structural damage was sustained.
