    Holy Cross Named One Of Only 59 "Baby Friendly" Hospitals

    Baby-Friendly USA pleased with Providence Holy Cross

    Providence Holy Cross Medical Center has been designated "Baby-Friendly" by Baby-Friendly USA.  The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative recognizes hospitals that provide an optimal level of care and information for breastfeeding mothers.

     

    “We feel like it validates the wonderful work we’ve been doing for the health of our patients and our community,” said Sherri Mendelson, RNC, PhD, IBCLC, a Clinical Nurse Specialist and lactation consultant at the 255-bed medical center located in Mission Hills.

    City urges parents to give kids the proper tools to keep safe

    Pencils, markers, backpacks, and rulers aren’t the only tools students need when heading back to school. They also need to be prepared for disasters that might occur while at school, which is the City of Santa Clarita’s August feature as part of the 12 months of Personal Preparedness.

     

    There is a lot that can be done by school officials to plan for disasters, limit risk, protect the safety of students and teachers, and ensure that schools recover quickly.
