    Woman Leads Police On Car Chase Through SCV

    DUI suspect evades LAPD, makes way through Santa Clarita

    A car was seen swerving and driving erratically this morning in the San Fernando Valley off of the 118 freeway near Hayvenhurst Blvd.

    When the LAPD attempted to pull the car over, the driver made a run for it and a car chase ensued.

    Past Favorites Return To Concerts In The Park

    Series to Begin Saturday

    Summertime in the Santa Clarita Valley would not be the same without the City’s highly acclaimed Annual Summer Concert Series at Central Park beginning every Saturday at 7:00 p.m. staring July 7 and continuing until August 25.    

    The free summer concert series is an all-ages event for everyone in the family to enjoy.  

    One Car Crash Kills Two

    Car went off I-5 and landed in dirt embankment below. 

     

    Yesterday at 8:20 p.m., a car overturned on the I-5 freeway near Quail Lake road and killed two of its five passengers.  The driver, Carlos Alvarez Uribe was traveling southbound and was not speeding.  He was in the #3 lane, but suddenly swerved into the slow lane and went over the right shoulder.  For unknown reasons, he then lost control of the Chevrolet Silverado he was driving and went down a dirt embankment.   

     

    Pitchess Getting Updated Fencing

    For safety reasons, a new fence will be installed.

     

    To improve security and public safety at the Pitchess Detention Center East Facility, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the installation of a replacement security fence for the Detention Center, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
