During the month of May, D.I.S.A.R.M officers confiscated 50 weapons -- including 23 handguns and 11 rifles/shotguns, arrested 238 probationers, and seized nearly $18 million in illegal drugs during 1,310 unannounced searches of residences, persons, vehicles, and businesses, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

According to the latest Trends report by PKF Consulting, Santa Clarita posted the second highest occupancy rate in the Los Angeles area for April 2007 at 83.22 percent.  Santa Clarita’s numbers were just slightly below Hollywood, which posted an average occupancy of 83.52 for the month, but ahead of top destinations such as West Hollywood at 81.16, Santa Monica at 80.62 percent, and Los Angeles International Airport at 78.15 percent.
