    Dial A Ride Now Open To General Public

                Curb-to-Curb Service Can Ease Evening Travels.

                    While the elderly and disabled are already regular riders of the City of Santa Clarita Transit’s Dial-A-Ride bus, the general public can also take advantage of the curb-to-curb service for their transportation needs.  

     

                    Dial-A-Ride service is available to the general public after 6:00 p.m., seven days a week.

    Relay For Life Gets Enthusiastic Kick Off

    On June 2nd, the Relay For Life will explode on to the scene here in Santa Clarita, and many locals will head to the track to circle around for a cure.

     

    The American Cancer Society is the beneficiary of the event, which is a favorite here in town.

     

    Last night, a rally held at the Spectrum Club in Valencia motivated teams and participants to get their people ready for the all night walk that serves many purposes.

     

    Truck Knocks Out Street Lights

    Severe traffic impacts Soledad.

    ImageOn this wet morning, a pickup truck slammed into a power line on Whites Canyon road at Soledad.

     

    The accident knocked out traffic lights all along Soledad from Whites to Sierra Highway. Some additional lights on Whites Canyon were also out.

    Motor vehicle collisions kill more teens every year than drugs, guns and violent crimes combined, according to the National Center for Health Statistics.  Teen drivers are also four times more likely to be in a fatal crash than older drivers, according to the Highway Loss Data Institute.
