    Silver Spur Goes To Rita Garasi

    COC Foundation’s prestigious award goes to long time community advocate.

    Saturday night, College of the Canyons Foundation bestowed its most prominent award on Rita Garasi, a Santa Clarita resident since 1970.

     

    Her accomplishments were called to light at the Sony Studios Corporate Headquarters.

     

    KHTS Special Broadcast To Feature Henry Mayo/G&L Realty Expansion

    The two sides will answer questions about the plan.

    On Tuesday, April 24th, Henry Mayo CEO Roger Seaver and Smart Growth SCV head David Gauny will be in the KHTS studio to answer questions regarding the Henry Mayo Expansion plan.

     

    Tune into AM 1220 at 2:00pm for the show.

     

    The issue sparked much debate during its run at the Planning Commission level, and it will go before the City Council in the coming months.

     

    Power Out In Central Valencia

    Many street lights on McBean Parkway are also down.

    ImageA power outage has occurred in Valencia, leaving many businesses and residences without electricity.

     

    Edison has released an update saying that power has been restored to half of those customers as of 1:30 this afternoon.

     

    Dodgers Fall To Pirates

    On Sunday afternoon, the LA Dodgers dropped the final game of a three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-5.  After an off day on Monday, the Dodgers will open up a three game set with the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night.  You can hear the action, beginning with the pre-game show at 6:30pm LIVE on KHTS.
