    Dodgers Drop Third Straight 6-2

    The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Fransico Giants on Wednesday night 6-4, thanks in part to a first inning Barry Bonds home run.  You can hear the Dodgers attempt to salvage the final game of this three-game series, Thursday night beginning at 6:30pm on KHTS.

    Pilates Fair To Benefit Circle Of Hope

    Now’s your chance to experience the power of pilates.

    This Saturday, when you enroll in classes from 12 to 5pm, the money raised will go to benefit Circle of Hope, a non-profit group dedicated to assisting cancer patients in medical costs and comfort.

     

    It is asked that you please call to reserve a pilates class that day, priced at ½ hour for $50, 1 hour for $100.

     

    The day ends with a dance performance by the Pilates Teck Instructors at 5pm.

     

    City Unveils New Biking/Walking Plan

    Public Encouraged to Attend Comment Meeting, Monday, May 21, 2007.

    The City of Santa Clarita is encouraging residents to attend a public comment meeting for the Biking and Walking Non-Motorized DRAFT Plan on Monday, May 21, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Century Room at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Blvd.

     

    Henry Mayo's Expansion Takes Center Stage

    At 2:00 this afternoon, Roger Seaver and David Gauny, the two opposing sides at the head of the Henry Mayo Expansion discussion, talked about the plan live on Am 1220.

     

    Questions about traffic, G&L Realty, the scope of the expansion and another hospital in Santa Clarita were answered by both sides.

     

    Old Email Sparks Fears

    Sheriff’s urge residents to be weary about forwarded emails.

    An old email has resurfaced lately, and has caused many to forward it to KHTS looking for answers.

     

    The email warned that an Antelope Valley gang called Ballerz On Point may be heading into Santa Clarita to commit their crimes. It gave descriptions of gang related tattoos and how the gang members work.

     

    The email said that an influx of criminal activity may be due to the recent crackdown by Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Deputies.

    Humanitarian Project This Saturday

    Help put together packages being sent to third world countries.

    This Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00pm, you can help put together packages headed for third world countries.

    So far, a volunteer group has assembled 1,500 hygiene kits, 600 school kits, 200 infant kits and 50 quilts that they plan on sending to their church headquarters, which will then send them out to countries in need.

    Dodgers Lose 5-3

    The Los Angeles Dodgers lost the first game in the series against the rival Giants, 5-3.

    The Dodgers will attempt to even up the three game set tomorrow.  Coverage begins at 6:30 on Your Hometown Station, AM 1220, KHTS.
