    A&A Global Industries and the Consumer Product Safety Commission on Tuesday announced a recall of 4 million children's "Groovy Grabber" bracelets sold in vending machines because the paint on the products poses a lead poisoning risk.

    Dodgers Lose Opener 7-1

    On Monday afternoon, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost their opening game of the season, falling to the Milwaukee Brewers 7-1.  Starting pitcher Derek Lowe had a rough day, giving up six runs on eight hits in only four innings, also walking five.  The lone LA run came on a second inning home run from second baseman Jeff Kent.

    The Dodgers will again take on the Brewers in game two of this three game series, Tuesday beginning at 4:30pm, a game that can be heard LIVE on KHTS.

    Violent Accident Involving Two Sheriff's Vehicles

    Update:  11:30am Saturday, March 31, 2007 

    At approximately 1:40pm Friday afternoon, KHTS received a call from Councilman Bob Kellar alerting the radio station of a “significant traffic accident” involving two Sheriff’s vehicles.

     

    Kings Get Blown Out And Lose 6-2

    On Sunday, the Los Angeles Kings lost to the San Jose Sharks by the sum of 6-2.

    Man and Woman Of The Year Nominees 7

    The official 2007 Man and Woman of the Year will be named at the 40th Annual Recognition Dinner to be held Friday, May 4, 2007, in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Valencia Hotel. The event will pay tribute to the top volunteers in Santa Clarita Valley and to past award recipients. It will benefit a number of charities and will include dinner, a multi-media presentation and the recognition ceremony.
