Dodgers Win 2-1

On Friday night the Dodgers defeated the San Francisco Giants, 2-1.  The next Dodger game can be heard live on KHTS, Saturday at 12:15pm, when they will take on the Giants once again.

"Volenteen" Round Up

Local Students Asked to Volunteer For City’s Cowboy Festival.

The City of Santa Clarita is inviting local youth to volunteer to help out at the City’s upcoming Cowboy Festival.  Students, aged 11 to 14, who need to fulfill community service hours or who are simply interested in volunteering, can sign up to work at the Cowboy Festival’s Gold Rush Food Court, on April 28 or 29. There are also many volunteer opportunities for teens ages 15 and over at the Cowboy Festival.


Walk of Western Stars To Get New Members

Entertainment by Cowboy Celtic to Highlight Western Gala.


The City of Santa Clarita's 2007 Walk of Western Stars will honor legends of the silver screen on Friday, April 27, 2007, beginning at 3 p.m. on the sidewalks of old town Newhall and culminating with a western gala dinner at the Valencia Hyatt Hotel at 7 p.m. Hosting this year's Gala is former Walk of Stars award winner and legendary cowboy balladeer Don Edwards, with entertainment provided by David Wilkie and Cowboy Celtic.

New Piece Of Cross Valley Connector To Open

Section will link the I-5, 126 to city.

A new portion of the Cross Valley Connector is all set to open on April 23rd at 10:00am.


The 1.6 mile piece will connect the I-5 and 126 to Copperhill and Rye Canyon Road.


Kings Lose 3-2

On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Kings lost to the Phoenix Coyotes 3-2.  Todd Kostopoulos and Michael Cammalleri scored the two LA goals, in a game that was the final KHTS Kings broadcast of the season.

The Saugus Action Committee, in partnership with the City of Santa Clarita and local businesses, proudly presents the annual Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 7, 2007. The Egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Participating parks include: Canyon Country Park, located at 17615 Soledad Canyon Road; Valencia Glen Park, located at 23750 Via Gavola; and Central Park, located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road.

Symphony A Real Local Treasure

First Theatrical Masterpiece Concert On Sunday.  


In a season filled with firsts, the Santa Clarita Symphony invites the community to attend "An Evening at the Palace," its first theatrical Masterpiece Concert, starting 8 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at the College of the Canyons Performing Arts Center.


The Symphony will transport you back in time to Prince Nikolaus Esterhazy's Summer palace in year 1772, as they re-create Joseph Haydn's dramatic "Farewell" Symphony, Number 45. 


DUI Checkpoint Next Friday

Education and Enforcement the main goals.

ImageIn an effort to prevent horror on Friday the 13th, Deputies will be conducting a DUI checkpoint somewhere in Santa Clarita.


In a statement, Sheriff’s officials said that the location of the checkpoint will directly address concerns based on DUI activity in that area.
