    Castaic Kids Will Do The High School Shuffle

    ImageThe William S. Hart School Board has decided how to ease the overcrowding at West Ranch High School. For the next two years, graduating Castaic Jr. High kids will go to Valencia.

    While any decision would have most certainly irked someone, this decision could be the most middle of the road. 

     

    Linda Gray Coming To SCV To Promote Theatre Project

    On Friday evening, March 2nd, the MacMillan Ranch home of Carl Goldman & Jeri Seratti-Goldman will be the site of the first in a series of “Salon Performances.”

    The Theatre Project/SCV is hosting a “de-lovely” evening saluting the works of Noel Coward and Cole Porter to encourage membership in THE CORPORATE 100, a core group of local businesses joined to support the creation of a new Santa Clarita Valley theatre company that will bring professional theatre close to home, with an emphasis on great Broadway musicals.

    Leipeimer Crowned Tour Champion

    ImageAfter eight days leading the peloton of 144 elite, international cyclists that included Olympic medalists and world champions, Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team's Levi Leipheimer (USA) was crowned as champion of the 2007 Amgen Tour of California today with a total time of 24 hours, 57 minutes and 24 seconds.

    Update On I-5/Magic Mountain Pkwy Improvements

    The City is pleased to announce that Metro approved five million dollars of additional funding for construction expenditures for Phase 2 improvements.

     This is exciting news as monies can be used to cover the escalation of construction costs that have occurred since the original 1999 Metro approval date.

    Play Soccer With The Pros

    On Saturday, March 17, 2007 the Michael Hoefflin Foundation will team with the Columbus Crew and the Soccer for Hope organization to offer two soccer clinics to improve the skills of local soccer players, coaches, and referees.  Both clinics will be held from 1:00 to 3:00pm at West Ranch High School, located at 26255 Valencia Boulevard.
