    Congratulations Canyon Cowboys: State Champions

    On Saturday night, the Canyon Cowboys defeated the De La Salle Spartans, 27-13, winning the CIF Division I State Championship. Congratulations to the Cowboys for all their accomplishments during this amazing season.

    Kings lose to Dallas

    The Los Angeles Kings lost to the Dallas Stars in overtime at the Staples Center. 4 -3 was the final. The Kings face the Calgary Flames on Tuesday. The pregame starts at 7 p.m. Hear the game LIVE on AM-1220 KHTS.

    Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, R-Santa Clarita, today announced the hiring of six experienced staffers to form the team that will help him vigorously represent the people of the 38th Assembly District.

    Tune into KHTS AM 1220 tonight at for the State Championship game between Canyon High and De La Salle of Concord.

    This is the first State Championship game to be held in 79 years, and it is shaping up to be quite a match.

    City Calling on Artists


    The City of Santa Clarita, Arts and Events Office and the Santa Clarita Arts Advisory Commission is calling all artists to commission artwork for the California Bear Project. The artwork will be on display in the City of Santa Clarita at a prominent location during a cultural festival or recreational event for the AMGEN Tour of California, which will be in Santa Clarita on Saturday, February 24, 2007.  

    Canyon Pep Rally Tonight!


    Canyon High School’s CIF Champion football team will play for the state championship against De La Salle of Concord tomorrow night. But before the big game, Route 66 Classic Grill is hosting a pep rally for the team from 5:00 to 9:00pm tonight, and you can join in the fun as we wish our Cowboys well.

    5 Antelope Valley Suspects Caught in SCV Operation

    An incident in the Antelope Valley caused suspects to flee the area last night, and they came over the hill into Santa Clarita.

    Sheriff’s Deputies believed that the suspects were in the area, and dispatched units, resulting in the arrest of five people.

    The operation shut down the 14 freeway for a small amount of time, and the people in custody were transported back to the Antelope Valley.

    Join Santa Clarita for the Rose Parade!

    The City of Santa Clarita invites residents to celebrate the New Year at Pasadena's 118th annual Tournament of Roses Parade on Monday, January 1, 2007.

    With the aroma of colorful flowers decorating enormous floats, the parade will be a memorable event that you won't want to miss. Grandstand seats are available along the parade route for ultimate viewing during the entire parade. 

    Tickets, which are $90 per person, may be purchased through the City’s Recreation Department.  Registration ends at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2006.
