Last year the Ewart family suffered a massive tragedy when their house burnt down after their annual Christmas party.  This year they would like to help give back to the community that helped support them!

Yesterday, State Senator George Runner (R-Antelope Valley), Senator Gloria Romero (D-Los Angeles) and Assemblymember Greg Aghazarian joined Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger when he announced the Administration’s prison reform package.

 The whole city was behind Canyon High School as they played De La Salle of Concord for the California State Championship game.

Route 66 hosted a pep rally the night before the game, and then on Saturday it was off to the Home Depot center for the game.
They won by a score of 27 to 13.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) advises motorists planning to travel on the northbound Golden State Freeway (I-5) in Castaic, located between the City of Santa Clarita (Valencia) and “The Grapevine,” to plan ahead and leave early to avoid holiday-related traffic delays.  Heavy traffic is expected beginning Wednesday, December 20th through New Years Day.

An ongoing lane closure on northbound I-5 at Templin Highway will continue throughout this time for slope stabilization repairs. Three northbound lanes and all four southbound lanes will remain open.
