Dodgers Win Ninth Straight, Beat Florida 7-3

The Dodgers won their 9th straight game Sunday, beating the Marlins 7-3. Tune in Monday at 6:30pm as the Dodgers come home to face the Colorado Rockies on AM-1220, KHTS.

Board Votes To Trim Study of Wastewater

The Regional Water Quality Control Board unanimously approved an amendment to speed up the clean up of chloride discharge into the Santa Clara river by two years. Sanitation officials say approval could result in a large increase in residential and commercial waste discharge rates.

A team of Santa Clarita lifeguards took first place in the 13th Annual Lifeguard Competition. The competition took place on Sunday, July 29 and was sponsored by the Southern California Public Pool Operators Association.

COC Students To Interview Former President

        SANTA CLARITA- Packed and ready for their studying-abroad trip to Central America, the participating College of the Canyons students will have something else to look forward to besides earning school credit during their 12-day stay in Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Violeta Chamorro, president of Nicaragua from 1990 to 1996 and the first female president in Latin America, will meet the group of students in her own home in Managua for a personal interview.
