Dodgers Beat Diamondbacks 5-4

Andre Ethier continued to impress fans with a homerun as the Dodgers managed to slip by the Diamondbacks 5-4. The game broke open in the Dodgers' favor as they scored five times in the third inning, but managed to barely get the win as the D-Backs rallied in the bottom of the ninth inning. Takashi Saito got his sixth save of the year for the Dodgers as they sweeped the D-Backs at home in three games. The arch-rival Giants come into town Thursay for a four game homestand, taking place right before the all-star break. Catch all the action at 6:30 on KHTS.

Lane Closures for I-5 Carpool Lane Construction 7/5 – 7/6

Caltrans will close the following lanes of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
·     5 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Up to two lanes of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to State       Route 14
·     8 a.m. to 2 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from I-405 to eastbound State Route 210 on-ramp

Dodgers Slam Diamondbacks 11-3


Star slugger Nomar Garciaparra extended his hitting streak to 16 games as the Dodgers pounded the Diamondbacks 11-3. The D-Backs had a two run lead in the first two innings but Andre Ethier contributed to the eventual blowout with an impressive four-run triple in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Dodgers hope to keep the momentum alive against the D-Backs on Wednesday at 6:30. Catch all the exciting action on KHTS.

Dodgers Blow Out Diamondbacks, 10-4

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 10-4 on Monday night. Dodger Manager, Grady Little switched the line-up around, and it obviously had a positive effect, as every starter except pitcher Derek Lowe had a hit. Lowe improved his record to 7-4.

The Dodgers take on the Diamondbacks again tonight in a special early start, July 4th game. Pre-game begins at 5:30pm on KHTS.

SCV Worksource Hosts Free Workshop

The Santa Clarita WorkSource, in partnership with Goodwill Southern California and the Employment Development Department, offer four new workshops at their career resource center.  The “Identity Theft” workshop will be given in English and Spanish.  The English version will be held on Monday, July 17, 2006 from 10:00 a.m.
