Saturday, July 29^th, the Aquatics Center will hold its final “dive in movie” for the summer. Saturday night’s feature will be “Hoodwinked,” featuring the voices of Anne Hathaway, Glenn Close, and James Belushi. The center opens at 7:15 p.m. for swim and play and the movie will begin at 8:15 p.m. The Aquatics Center allows residents to visit for evening swim and play and wade in the pool as the feature movie runs. This season, the program turn out has been successful with almost 100 guests in attendance each night.

 

Spanish is the second most common language spoken in the United States after English, and according to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, 32.4 percent of the Californian population is Hispanic. Because speaking Spanish has become more of a necessity than an option for Californians, the Spanish Institute at College of the Canyons is offering a five-day intensive course that will teach basic conversational Spanish for professionals in the teaching, health, business or law enforcement fields.

 

The Castaic Lake Water District Presents ‘The Jeff Jensen Band’ this Friday from 7pm to 9pm at The Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series on Town Center Drive at McBean Parkway next to the Hyatt in Valencia.
