               Residents living in the City of Santa Clarita pay less for their municipal services than their neighbors living in unincorporated areas, but receive more services according to the City of Santa Clarita. 

               

    City of Santa Clarita To Host Used Oil Filter Recycling Event

    Recycle and receive a voucher for a free oil filter.

    The City of Santa Clarita will be hosting two used oil filter collection events at Kragen Auto Parts on May 20 and June 17, 2006.

    Kragen Auto Parts is located at 26850 Sierra Hwy. in Santa Clarita. The two events will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The City is hosting these events as part of its coordinated effort to increase participation in the City’s curbside oil and filter recycling program, as well as raise overall environmental awareness about the need to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

    The City of Santa Clarita is being urged to establish an enclosed or open off-leash dog park.

    The Dodgers defeated the San Francisco Giants in the final game of their series, 6-3. Our next Dodger broadcast will be on the air at 5pm Monday as the Dodgers head to Colorado to take on the Rockies.

    Assemblyman Keith Richman today named KHTS the Small Business of the Year from the 38th Assembly District.  The annual program recognizes successful small businesses that make substantial contributions to their communities.

                

                The 2006 Small Business of the Year award will be presented to KHTS radio, Santa Clarita's Hometown station on May 30th in Sacramento by Assemblyman Keith Richman.
