Lane Closures for I-5 Carpool Lane Construction 3/10-3/11

Caltrans will close the following lanes of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
5 a.m. to 1 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to State Route 14
8 a.m. to 11 a.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 at eastbound State Route 210
8 a.m. to 11 a.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to State Route 14

Hart Falls 58-42

The Hart Indians girls basketball team saw their great season come to an end on Thursday night, as they lost to Lynwood 58-42, in the CIF State Southern Regional Semifinal.

Kings Lose 7-3

On Thursday night, the Kings fell to the Red Wings 7-3.  You can hear the Kings next game on KHTS, Saturday at 4:30pm, as they will take on the St. Louis Blues.

City Participates in “Operation Care Package”

Members of the Community Asked to Donate Items for Troops The City of Santa Clarita has teamed up with a local chapter of the “Adopt-A-Platoon” organization to collect supplies for overseas troops and is asking for help from the community. The charity project, dubbed “Operation Care Package,” is aimed at collecting letters and supplies for troops in more remote areas, who do not have ready access to a military PX. The City was approached with the idea of a charity drive by Kathi McIlvain, a member of the community who is involved with the “Adopt-A-Platoon” campaign.
