    Kings Lose 5-1

    The Kings lost to the Wild 5-1 Tuesday night, getting a lone goal from Eric Belanger.  On Wednesday, the Kings will face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets at 3:30pm on KHTS.

    Congratulations, Matt Valaika of Hart High for being a “Player of the Week”.
     
    Earlier this season, Valaika became the all-time leading scorer in Hart High soccer history.  In Friday’s game, Valaika scored three goals and one assist in a 7-2 Hart High win over Burbank High.
     
    Congratulations, Matt, from Lockheed Federal Credit Union and KHTS AM-1220!
     
    For his performance, Lockheed Federal Credit Union will donate $250 to the Hart High School booster club.

    Ewart Family Tuesday Update

    Here’s the latest update on the Ewart Family. In the early morning on Tuesday, December 20th, fire destroyed their Valencia home. Six family members were in the house at the time, three were seriously injured and sent to the Grossman Burn Center.  Last weekend, David Ewart was the final family member to be released from the Grossman Burn Center.

    I-5 Carpool Lane Construction Report

    Lane closures for I-5 carpool lane construction from February 6 through February 9.
     
    The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
     
    Daily – Monday, Feb 6 through Thursday, February 9:
    ·     8 a.m. to 2 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from I-405 to eastbound State Route 210 on-ramp
