Violence Follows Prayers for Peace

Ninth fight in five days breaks out at Pitchess shortly after religious leaders tour facility.Nearly an hour after a group of ministers & other clergy members toured the North County Correctional Facility in hopes of calming racial tension Thursday, a ninth burst of violence took place among black & Hispanic inmates.

Fighting Continues at Pitchess

Officials break up three disturbances Wednesday, leaving 19 inmates injured, one seriously.

A chain of racially motivated fights Wednesday left 19 inmates injured at the North County Correctional Facility, which has been plagued by disturbances since Saturday. 

Kings lose 7-4

The Los Angeles Kings lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets 7-4 tonight.  The Kings took an early 3-1 lead in the first period.  Beginning the second period the Kings looked strong but quickly fell apart.  Allowing the Blue Jackets to score 6 goals against them, the Kings struggled to finish the game.  Tonight was the Kings 7 straight loss.  Tune in to your Hometown Station AM1220 KHTS for more Los Angeles Kings Hockey.

Inmates remain seperated by race; sheriff looks to bring back Amer-I-Can program.After four riots within three days at the North County Correctional Facility, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has called for continued racial segregation, a measure the department said will work temporarily until more solutions are implemented to quell racial tension in the long run.
