    Board Approves Antonovich Motion To Develop Vicious Dog Ordinance

    The Board of Supervisors approved a motion by Mayor Michael D. Antonovich to adopt a County ordinance to reduce dog attacks through breeding restrictions and mandatory spay/neuter programs of specific breeds of dogs -- with stiff penalties imposed for non compliance. To reduce this serious public safety threat and prevent future tragedies, this action will provide guidelines for responsible pet ownership and penalties for negligent or reckless owners,” Antonovich said.



    City Benefits From Homeland Security Dollars

    In a newly restructured federal Homeland Security program, the City of Santa Clarita will remain eligible for federal anti-terrorism grants, but will now be considered as part of the larger region, called the Los Angeles/Long Beach region. This region will include cities in the San Fernando Valley, the Los Angeles Basin, and northern Los Angeles County. The grant money allocation will now revolve around the capabilities and strategies developed at the federal and state levels.

    Deputies look for a man who allegedly raped a woman near a Stevenson Ranch fire station.Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who allegedly raped a woman 100 yards from a fire station in Stevenson Ranch last week, which is the second reported case of sexual assault in the Santa Clarita Valley this year.

    Kings Lose 4-3

    The Los Angeles Kings lost 4-3 tonight against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.  The game was tied 3-3 in the 3rd period sending the game into overtime.  The Ducks scored in just under 2 minutes of over time putting and end to the game and giving the Kings their 4th straight loss.  Tune in Thursday, February 2nd at 5:30pm for more Kings hockey on your Hometown Station AM1220 KHTS.
