    Providence Receives A "Day of Thanks"

    Nine Providence Saint  Joseph and Providence Holy Cross Medical Center nurses and social workers had traveled to Alexandria, Louisiana in late September to assist in the care of Katrina and Rita evacuees.

    The community of Alexandria at the time was the home to more than 9,000 evacuees.
