    Kings Lose 3-2

    The Los Angeles Kings lost 3-2 tonight against the Nashville Predators.  Putting in a great effort, the Kings could not come together in the end to score a third goal and put the game into over time.  Tune in next week at 7pm when the Kings take on the Vancouver Canuks.  Make sure to stay tuned to your Hometown Station AM1220 KHTS.

    North Park Food Drive to Help Homeless

    Local students are doing their part to help make sure there are no empty stomachs in Santa Clarita this weekend. North Park Elementary School will conduct a food drive this week for the temporary homeless shelter, which is planed to be set up in the Centre Pointe Business Park for 100 days starting in early December. “We thought it would be a great opportunity to help them,” said Joy Goff, a parent teacher association volunteer.

    College of the Canyons to host 18th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair

    College of the Canyons will hold its 18th annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday and Sunday, November 19 and 20.  The fundraising event is sponsored by the College’s Classified Coordinating Council (CCC) and will be held in the college’s parking lot # 8 at the corner of Valencia Boulevard and Rockwell Canyon Road.  Hours for the fair are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.  Admission and parking are free. The fair is a showcase of primarily handcrafted items with vendors coming from all over the state.

    In order to save lives by reducing the time between the moment a person suffers a heart attack and the moment he/she receives interventional treatment, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center has added a second cardiac catheterization laboratory.
