Kings lose 3-2

The Los Angeles Kings lost 3-2 tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks. This is the Kings second straight loss. The Blackhawks struck first tonight scoring two goals in the first period and again in the second. It was not until the third period that the Kings came together to start a rally against the Blackhawks. Ass hard as they tried, the Kings could not bring and upset and lost 3-2. Citys Proposed Open Space and Parkland Preservation District Does Not Pass

Despite two polls that reflect majority support for it, City property owners choose not to form a new Open Space and Parkland Preservation District that would have brought millions of dollars to the City, exclusively for open space and parkland projects.

A total of 49, 500 ballots were mailed six weeks ago to City property owners. Just one-third returned their completed ballots by the November 22, 2005 deadline. The City Clerk’s office began tabulating the returned ballots the next day.

Assault Suspect Arrested Tuesday

A man suspected of assaulting two Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's deputies was arrested early Tuesday after a short foot chase through a mobile home park....

The short pursuit took place in a mobile home park near Soledad and Sand Canyon Roads.

The Antelope Valley Freeway suffered unusual traffic congenstion Tuesday afternoon as a result of a chain of five separate accidents....

Two northbound lanes of the 14 Freeway near Placerita Canyon Road were closed for more than an hour, reopening in the middle of drive-time at 5 p.m.
